Resolving conflict. Rebuilding trust. Moving forward together.

Conflict is part of working life but when it isn’t addressed, it drains energy, damages relationships, and stalls performance. As a result, teams and organisations often lose valuable time and trust.

Workplace mediation creates a safe, structured space to resolve disputes and rebuild working relationships. My role is to remain impartial, facilitate open conversation, and guide everyone towards practical solutions they can commit to.

I’m an accredited Workplace Mediator, Associate Mediator with the Civil Mediation Council and Chartered HR professional with 20+ years’ experience helping leaders and teams resolve conflict calmly and constructively.

What is Workplace Mediation?

Mediation is a confidential process that helps rebuild trust and creates space for honest conversations, bringing people together to:

💬 Talk openly and fairly about the issues

👂 Listen and be heard without judgement

🤝 Find constructive ways forward that work for everyone

⚖️ Legally encouraged – recommended by ACAS as a first step before tribunal.

It’s not about taking sides or deciding who’s right or wrong, it’s about rebuilding trust so you can move on productively. In practice, this means creating space for honest conversations and new ways forward.

How It Works?

Mediation is a structured yet flexible process. Most mediations are completed within 1–1.5 days. As a result, organisations save both time and money compared to formal grievance processes.

1. Initial Consultation

A short call to understand the situation and explain how mediation works.

2. Private Conversations

Confidential 1:1 meetings with each party to hear each perspective and build trust in the process.

3. Facilitated Conversation

A structured joint session where issues are explored openly, constructively and respectfully.

4. Resolution & Agreement

Practical steps and clear commitments agreed to help rebuild working relationships and enable everyone to move forward.

My role is not to impose solutions but to create space where all voices are heard and common ground can be found.

When to Use Mediation

Typically, mediation is most effective when:

🟡 Colleague relationships break down, or personality clashes happen

🟡 Manager and employee relationships have broken down

🟡 Teams are stuck in conflict after change or restructuring

🟡 Conflict is affecting morale, collaboration, or performance

🟡 You want to avoid formal complaints, grievances or disciplinary action

Conflict Coaching

Sometimes, mediation isn’t always the right option. One or more parties may feel unable to engage in the process, or perhaps additional support is needed after mediation to help individuals follow through on agreements.

That’s where conflict coaching comes in.

Conflict coaching provides one-to-one support to help:

🟡 Develop practical strategies for handling conflict constructively

🟡 Rebuild confidence and resilience after difficult situations

🟡 Process the outcomes of mediation and stay committed to actions

🟡 Reduce the risk of issues resurfacing in the future

Coaching can be offered as an alternative to mediation. Alternatively, it can also follow mediation to provide continuity and accountability.
